Joint EMLG /JMLG
(European/Japanese Molecular Liquid Group)
Czech Republic, 8 -13 September 2019
About the conference
The EMLG/JMLG (European/Japanese Molecular Liquids Group) is an interdisciplinary group covering the molecular aspects of liquids in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The European group was founded in 1981 and was joined by the Japanese group in 1996 as a sister organization to cooperate and coordinate activities in the field. JMLG became the international division of the Japan Association of Solution Chemistry (JASC) in 2005.
The EMLG/JMLG has organized annual conferences every year since 1981 in different European countries and with different focuses. The first joint EMLG/JMLG conference was held in Fukuoka in 1999 as a post symposium of the International Conference of Solution Chemistry.
The last joint conference in 2018 was also held in Japan, in Nagoya.
In 2019, the joint EMLG/JMLG conference will be held in Europe, Czech Republic, in Kutna Hora (not far from Prague), UNESCO heritage site.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Kutna Hora!
EMLG/JMLG 2019 conference
Meeting 8 – 13 September 2019
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE
28 June 2019
28 June 2019
The upcoming conference will follow the spirit and format of the previous meetings to provide an effective forum for contacts and for the exchange of ideas, with an emphasis on discussions rather than on formal presentations, highlighting achievements and challenges in both theoretical and applied aspects of the discipline.
The conference will cover both the traditional general topics, liquid-state theories and the development of molecular simulation methodologies and their novel applications, along with a focus on specific systems including fluid interfaces and confined fluids, aqueous systems, and supercooled/glassy states.
Applied aspects of theory and simulations are also an integral part of the covered topics.
The conference will consists of plenary and contributed talks. Contributions to all topics of the conference are welcome.
With the emphasis on oral presentations, participants must accept the fact that only a limited number of contributions will be presented orally (15 minutes with 5 minutes for discussion to follow); the overwhelming majority of contributions will thus be presented as posters.
